Recently, the City applied for a $3,000,000.00 grant to fancy up the Westside Greenway in Czech Village.

Reviewing the application shows pages, yes pages, of donors who pledged money to add to the grant. The names of these donors, were redacted by the IEDA.

How much money? One donor pledged $5,000,000.00! Yes, a donor has pledged more than the requested amount from the IEDA. That’s a lot of greenway improvement dollars. 3 donors pledged $1,000,000.

It’s quite the list! Almost 30 donors pledged 10,000.00 each.

Is the largest donor Collins Aerospace? Maybe BAE? An individual?

The big question… what are these donors getting in return for their pledges that become donations? Money is NEVER given freely to politicians. NEVER.
